Do you repair blinds and shades?
We will repair or replace blinds and shades that we have sold recently. We can often do this easily by looking up your order and requesting a picture from you of the problem. We can then find the best way to get them fixed or replaced.
For older products we have sold, we will do our best to find a solution to repair what is broken. Please keep in mind that the older a window covering is the more difficult is to repair and the many cases we will likely have to find a replacement.
We do not fix blinds that were not purchased from us. But you may bring to us and we can see if it is easily fixed or we can find a replacement.
We no longer re-string blinds or shades.
Do you repair shutters?
We can repair shutters that we have sold. Shutters we sell have a limited lifetime warranty that extends to the original owner of the shutters. This warranty does not cover damage. However, damaged shutters can usually be repaired for a minimal charge.
If they are shutters we have sold, but you are not the original owner, we can usually repair them at a minimal charge.
If you have a shutter that needs to be repaired, that was not sold by us. Please call and we can help try to help you identify the manufacturer to put in a repair request from them. Please note we only deal with reputable shutter manufacturers and we may not be able to identify which shutters you have. Shutter warranties are honored by the manufacturers and the dealers who sell them which emphasizes the importance of always purchasing shutters from a reputable dealer.
Do you have those little clip things for the top of my blinds?
We have valance clips for our in stock 2-inch white faux wood blinds. If you have purchased those, we will be able to supply those for you for free at our store.
If you have another type of blind that we have sold recently, we should be able to find you those valance clips as well.
If it is a valance clip for a blind that we have not sold, then it is not likely that we will have them. We have a limited selection of different valance clips. Because of the many different styles of valance clips from different blind manufacturers over the years it is very difficult to keep them at our store.
My painter took down my blinds and lost my brackets?
If you need brackets for a product we have recently sold, we should be able to find or order brackets. If it is an older product we have sold, it may be difficult to find brackets since they may be discontinued by the factory. If you are able to find at least 1 of the brackets, we will request you send us a picture of it and we will see if we can find it.
If you are missing brackets from a product we did not sell, then it is not likely we will be able to find replacements.
I bought blinds from a guy and now I can’t get a hold of him to get them repaired.
This happens a lot, especially in new communities that get targeted with signs and flyers. Always make sure the company you are buying from is well-established and has a physical store so you can get in contact with them. We have learned that many new companies are nothing more than a website and a phone number, which seems fine at first. But it is usually not long before they are coming to our shop to fix or replace blinds because they cannot find the person who sold them originally.

How do I wire my house for motorized shades?
Hard-wired motorized shades are a great alternative to rechargeable batteries. Have your electrician run a wire to the top of each window opening you are considering motorized products on. This wire needs to have 2-wires in it. 1 for a negative connection and 1 for a positive connection and be capable of 12VDC to 24VDC. The other end of the wire is usually run to a utility room or closet where we wire to a power supply that plugs into a standard wall outlet.
In some instances where the shades will be extremely large, it may be necessary to wire standard 120 VAC power to the top of the window itself.

Is this the same Lloyd’s Blinds that my grandparents and parents purchased their blinds from?
It sure is. For many years, our primary source of new business was word-of-mouth referrals, especially among family members. It is nice to hear from new customers who call us because they would like the same expertise, quality, and service as their parents and grandparents received.
May I have a 20% off? When is your next sale?
One of our core principles at Lloyd’s throughout our several decades is good, fair pricing without sales. We can say that to date, we have not had a sale or promotion, just good pricing every single day. If you are dealing with a company that is offering 20% off or a holiday sale, it is certain they have raised the price just so they can make you feel like they have lowered it. We will provide an honest and quick estimate for your window coverings and give you plenty of time to make your decision.
